What are You Waiting For?
“The journey is the goal of your life.”- Eckhart Tolle
All of us have had goals in life and achieved them. It started early in life as toddlers when we simply decided one day to stand up. Then we chose to walk. We had encouragement from our caretakers, but WE are the ones who decided when to actually do it.
Later in life, we decided where to go to college or even if to go. We decided whom to marry or not to marry. We decided where we wanted to work, what we wanted to do and where we wanted to live. We may often tell ourselves that life just kind of happened to us, but that denies who and what we are.
We are spiritual beings who are co-creating our life with God. We just have forgotten that we are actually doing this all of the time because there is a time lag between what we want and when it actually happens. But make no mistake; we are creating it all through our decisions and our focus.
Often we arrive at what we “think” is the achievement of our goal and then we stop creating…and just react to whatever happens. We create a job, a relationship, and an income and once we do that…we forget that we can continue to create what we want. We forget that we have to practice new feelings of having what we want in order for it to show up in our lives.
If we get lost in the illusion of it all, we blame others for how they show up in our reality. We forget that they are simply reflecting the vibrations we are unconsciously practicing. Our minds go on tangents of justifying and rationalizing all that we may think and feel about what someone has done or said. We may blame our managers or companies that they are holding us back from making the money we desire. We forget that we can change it by practicing the feeling of what we do want to experience.
We must realize that at our core, we are beings who desire continuous change and growth. So if we stop practicing new vibrations, we will eventually become dissatisfied no matter how wonderful or beautiful a partner we have. We will feel unfulfilled no matter how much money we make or how many friends we have. Our inner being doesn’t just ask us to grow. It demands it.
How do you want your life to change and what does that feel like? Are you practicing the feeling of that on a regular basis or are you simply hoping it will show up, but telling yourself that it probably won’t and you just have to live with it?
You have the power to create your life as you want it to be!
